RECOGNISED as a world leader in forage harvesting technology, CLAAS offers a comprehensive range of front-mounted, rear-mounted and trailed DISCO mowers; single, dual or four-rotor LINER rakes; ROLLANT and VARIANT round balers; and QUADRANT square balers.

Right now, CLAAS Harvest Centre is offering big pre-season discounts and finance from zero percent on some of its most popular models including VARIANT balers, DISCO mowers, LINER rakes and VOLTO tedders.

CLAAS Greenline Product Manager, Luke Wheeler, says the VARIANT variable chamber round baler has been designed to feed and compress fodder more effectively and with minimal downtime.

“With its 2.1 m wide pick-up, rapid belt speed and continuously-adjustable baling pressure, VARIANT gives you complete control over bale density, size and weight,” Luke says.

“It produces 1.2 m wide bales with 0.9 to 1.55 m bale diameter.

“The tailgate opens and closes in just seven seconds and you don’t have to slow down to start a bale rotating in the chamber.”

Options include the lowerable PRO cutting floor and ISOBUS-compatible CLAAS COMMUNICATOR II terminal.

The DISCO 2750 mower features six discs and a 2.6 m operating width.

It incorporates the new CLAAS MAX CUT mower bar with innovative one-piece, wave-shaped design that allows the six cutting discs to be set much further forward than before.

“In combination with the specially-formed wear inserts, this creates an enlarged cutting area and ensures optimal cutting quality, efficiency and durability under all conditions,” Luke says.

Other features include a quick blade change system for fast, easy maintenance and the SAFETY LINK drive train protection system.

Luke says the LINER 2600 is a professional rake that quickly and efficiently clears paddocks to create perfect baling conditions.

“It has an impressive operating width of up to 6.8 m, yet folds to compact transport width of less than 3 m and a transport height of less than 4 m,” he says.

“The fully floating suspension provides three-dimensional contouring.”

The 2600 features twin 2.9 m diameter rotors, which have a continuously lubricated and hermetically-sealed drive.

Each rotor is fitted with 11 arms, which in turn, host four dual tines.

The PROFIX tine brackets ensure zero play and minimal wear.

Also on special is the CLAAS VOLTO 52, a mounted four rotor tedder with an effective operating width of 5.2 m.

Its features include PERMALINK finger clutch and CLAAS power drawbar.

Luke says all four implements are ideal for pairing with a CLAAS ARION tractor.

“All four machines operate at a PTO speed of just 540 rpm for maximum fuel efficiency and have a rated power requirement of less than 90 hp,” he says.
