WAGGA GROWER UPDATE
Next week on Thursday June 12 AFIA is holding a Fodder Grower Update in Wagga Wagga.
“This grower update is a chance for anyone involved in the fodder industry to get together and talk hay and silage” said AFIA Executive Officer Darren Keating.
“The night will involve and update on AFIA activities for our members, including transport, export market access and opposing the introduction of red tape around fodder trading” Mr Keating said. Read the full media release here.
NATIONAL FODDER CONFERENCE REGISTRATIONS ONLINE
Planning for the National Fodder Conference and pre-conference tour is coming along well and registrations are rolling in. This week AFIA has launched our first online registration form. No need to print and fax your registrations in anymore, simply fill out the form online and submit it straight to Pru.

PRE-CONFERENCE TOUR FILLING UP FAST!

We are now calling for nominations for Directors on the AFIA Board. There are three positions available for Directors on the Board in 2014. Nomination forms are available on the AFIA website under Member Services (click here to download an AFIA Directors nomination form). You must log in using your AFIA username and password to access the nomination forms.
Nominations for these positions must be received in the AFIA office by 12pm EST, Friday 4 July, 2014.

WA MEMBERS – OPTING OUT OF BIOSECURITY LEVY
WA producers are able opt-out of biosecurity Industry Funding Schemes. Contributions are mandatory in the first instance, but a producer can opt-out and have their annual contribution refunded in full. Opting-out of the Schemes does not negate the producers’ responsibility to address biosecurity issues on their property
AFIA OFFICE CLOSED MONDAY 9 JUNE
Due to the Queens birthday long weekend the AFIA office will be closed on Monday 9 June. The AFIA staff will be back on deck on Tuesday 10 June and will respond to any enquiries then.
