Hay and Silage Transport Regulations

When transporting hay and silage it is important that you adhere to the regulations in the state jurisdiction you are operating in. Now the majority of these documents can be found on the NHVR website on the Transitional notices or State HVNL notices pages. The following is a summary of the key resources for transport regulations, load restraints and appropriate Gazette notices (where available) for each state and territory. To find them on the NHVR website either scroll down on the above links or search for the relevant document in the search box.

The table below summarises the current notices in effect that would allow hay to be transported at 4.6m high and/or at extra width.
